WHO warned today that the total number of COVID19 deaths in Africa could reach 190,000. Any death is tragic but again let’s keep this in proportion. Africa consists of 54 countries and 1.3 BILLION people. Per population this is a death rate of approximately 0.01%. Less than an average flu season. In another piece of news the UN have warned that a global total of 250 million risk starvation due to the lockdown measures imposed.
It is becoming a mantra. The numbers do not merit this global reaction and the price to pay for locking down the planet’s population will be incalcuable for generations.
